Maureen’s

Cnr Long & Fichat Street, Knysna

0443827708

Garden setting

Maureen’s Restaurant is one of the few family run restaurants that has been operating successfully in Knysna since 1996. It is set off the hustle and bustle of the main road and is open for lunch daily in the tranquil garden or inside the newly decorated restaurant (completed in November 2007). Maureen’s is well known for the quality of their food and it offers a continental menu to suit all tastes, as well as a small, but quality driven wine list.

Maureen’s Place

6th January 2008

Last Sunday I was a guest at a luncheon at Maureen’s Place on Long Street in Knysna and was I surprised?! The restaurant has had a very pleasant facelift, with the entrance patio now attractively laidout with a water feature , tub shrubs , comfortable tables and chairs under two big trees which entices one to stop to enjoy the coolth. Inside the glass topped tables and modern art on the walls completes the impression of cleanliness and efficiency which was borne out by the food offered . A good selesction of hors d’oeuvres (can’t think when I last found that on a Sunday lunch menu) , followed by a carvery style main course consisting of Pork and Lamb , crackling and roast potatoes better than one gets at home and best of all about six veggies . A choice of 4 sweets and coffee completed the meal. There is plenty of safe parking opposite the restaurant too so enjoy a meal there, you won’t be disappointed.

Advance Booking adviseable.
