To Mary's comment on the price of the coffee at Café François. I am sorry, the person on the till charged you for 2 espresso when she should just have charged R12. Feel free to pop in and claim one on the house. I am sorry you did not enjoy the tipsy tart, we have tried a number of recipes to accommodate special diets. If you have one that we can use I would appreciate it.

Like most I am sure they try but I think the South African market has a lot to learn. Most of us have a vague idea of what we like when we sit down for a cup but more often than not, no idea of why. I hope you will pitch in and help us grow the workshop we are building.

Well... Mug and Bean Knysna actually have surprised me, it seems you can get a good coffee some of the time. However I am yet to appreciate a good coffee from Rossini, and wouldn't risk an attempt to see if they have improved.

Assume your comment is directed at Mugg & Bean or is it more general? These are some of "reviews" we have received in response to adverts we have running in the local press and I think there is a lot we could and should be doing to grow the awareness and appreciation of not only coffee but the whole food thing as well.

I'm not sure of your what your definition of good coffee is. If you like that boiled milk flavour to dominate a rather bitter espresso then maybe it is.
